Longhorn is moving along smoothly. We added an original idea -- a black "Start Bar." People will love this.

April 22, 2002

Longhorn's release is on the horizon. I tested an early version and avoided the blue screen of helpful information and gleeful frustration for a time of 6 minutes and 36 seconds. Billy was jealous, but could not beat my score.

Bill beat my score.

After months of intense competition, Bill not only beat my score, he also found a loophole. He fell into a rabbit hole of infinite message boxes that would reappear even after you clicked OK.

October 27, 2003

Billy showed the world the first glimpse of Longhorn. People were stunned -- the blue screen of helpful information and gleeful frustration did not appear.

September 3, 2004

We just announced a 2006 release for Longhorn. Things are still going along smoothly. We've outsourced much of the work, so we get updates via telephone. I mean, we hired new employees to get the job done.

We changed the name. Windows Fiesta is what we'll call it. Sorry, Bill just told me it was Windows Vista, not Fiesta.

September 15, 2006

Vista is a success. We have stopped support for Windows XP because of it.

December 24, 2006

Oops, we counted our chickens too early. Windows XP Service Pack 3 will be out soon.
